  • Hope S. Taitz, our Chief Executive Officer and Chairperson, has extensive experience in mergers & acquisitions and principal investing. Ms. Taitz is currently the Chief Executive Officer of ELY Capital where she invests in and advises early stage companies. Prior to ELY Capital, Ms. Taitz was the co-founder of Catalyst Partners, an event driven, special situation hedge fund. After graduating with honors from the University of Pennsylvania majoring in economics and concentrating in marketing, Ms. Taitz began her investment banking career in mergers and acquisitions at Drexel Burnham Lambert. Ms. Taitz then transitioned to the buy side. Ms. Taitz has extensive public company board experience, having served and chaired all committees, as well as having been a lead director. She currently sits on the boards of directors of Athene Holding Ltd., MidCap Finco Holdings Limited, and Summit Hotel Properties, Inc., and previously served on the Boards of Apollo Residential Mortgage, Inc., Diamond Resorts International, Inc., Greenlight Capital RE, Ltd., and Lumenis Ltd. Ms. Taitz also focuses on equity and education and is an advocate for underrepresented groups in STEM. She currently serves as a board member on The New York City Foundation for Computer Science working on CSforALL and the 2025 STEM Initiative, and previously served on the board of Girls Who Code. Ms. Taitz is a founding board member of YRFDarca, a member of the Wharton School Undergraduate Executive Board as well as a member of the Center for Social Innovation, and an emeritus board member of Pencils of Promise. Ms. Taitz is well qualified to serve on our board of directors due to her significant experience in investment, mergers and acquisitions, as well as her service on the boards of directors of several public companies.

    Susan Hassan, our Chief Operating Officer, is an experienced financial services executive, investor and strategic advisor. Ms. Hassan founded Sea Dune Partners to provide capital and strategic advice to early-stage and growth companies, with a particular focus on women founders and entrepreneurs. Prior to founding Sea Dune Partners, Ms. Hassan was a partner with Valor Equity Partners, a private equity firm with over $4.5 billion in assets under management, focusing on tech- enabled growth companies, including SpaceX, Addepar, Brightloom, Fooda, and Manduka. Prior to joining Valor, Ms. Hassan was a corporate partner at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP. Susan has served as an invited lecturer on corporate transactions at Harvard Law School and the University of Chicago Law School. In 2009, the Aspen Institute named Susan a Henry Crown Fellow. She is a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network. Ms. Hassan currently serves as the Vice Chair of the board of directors of CARE USA and on the board of CARE Enterprises, Inc. Ms. Hassan formerly served on the Board of Trustees of Equality Now, where she served as Board Chair. She has also served on the boards of directors of The Clean Energy Trust, where she served as Lead Director, the Women's Sports Foundation and the Chicago Public Library and is a member of the Economic Club of Chicago and a former board member and member of The Chicago Network. Ms. Hassan received a B.A. from the University of Michigan and a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School. Ms. Hassan is well qualified to serve on our board of directors due to her significant expertise in public and private company M&A transactions, capital raise transactions and corporate governance matters, and knowledge of the financial services, energy, biotech, consumer products, and technology sectors.
